when i first made the decision to become a full time artist i was lucky enough to peak the interest of the social editor of the local newspaper. they sent writers and photographers to the old farm where i had my studio. the fact that the farm was on a dead end road with no running water made it even more attractive to write about. under normal circumstances this would make one or two articles in the newspaper but in this instance it continued to be of interest to the editors for a good 25 years covering the careers of 4 writers. those writers included.....MARION WILKE, LEONA CARLSON, DAVID ZIMMERMAN and JULIE SNIVELY. i didnt have to call these writers and ask for an interview, they would actually call me and ask if i had any news such as a coming show or a recent award. many of these articles were two and three pages with pictures. i will be forever thankful to these wonderful people for all they contributed to the success of my career.
