softly comes the night

this is one of the new paintings featured in our upcoming show in october. it was inspired by my
years at emmerts farm. on warm summer nights, when the moon was full, i often walked  the fields
in the north pasture. the peace and quiet was a soothing comfort for the many hours spent at my easel.
these midnight wanderings left indelible memories of this peaceful place.

my next blog will come in the form of an answer to a couple of good questions from a fellow artist
that wants to know how an emerging painter can find a place in the art world.

Hi Tom!
I love your painting "Softly Comes the Light." I missed your art show this past weekend :(
I had surgery on my left foot so I couldn't do a thing... I still can't do a thing!

I think I'll give you a call and see how you're doing.
Regards,
Janet McGregor

Everything you paint is quite capable of bringing tears to my eyes. Such sensitivity that touches the soul. LOVE your work.

sandy....it takes two. as artists we hope a few viewers such as you also have the sensitivity to feel what we are attempting to say in paint. thank you very much for your thoughtful comment.
